Herve Renard in line to replace CK Akonnor as Black stars coach

After a year of replacing Kwesi Appiah, coach Charles Kwablah Akonnor has come under pressure after failing to show why he should continue as the head coach of Ghana Black Stars.
The German-trained coach has been under serious pressure following a shambolic and disgraceful performance his charges displayed against the Walis of Ethiopia at the cape coast sports stadium in their first game in World Cup 2022 qualifiers yesterday
Though the Black stars won the game by 1-0 through Mubarak Wakaso’s strike in the first half, the performance of the CK’s team was the worst ever seen.
selecting of players who are yet to play any minutes of competitive football ahead of players playing week in week out at top European clubs is a topic that worries Ghanaians
Positioning of the players have also become a problem, with this,
Many Ghanaians have called for the sack of CK who has shown gross incompetence since taking over the affairs of the national team, apart from bad performances from the team, CK’s call ups have become a worrying exercise, players like Jemie Leweling, Stephan Ambrosius, Kamal Sowah, Salisu Mohammed, Kelvin Yeboah have all turned down chance to play for the Black Stars.
These players not honoring these call ups are not the problem, the issue is why the Head coach included their names in his squad without knowing they are not ready.
We believe if the Black Stars can win the AFCON early next year after 40 years then things must change and change now, CK should be replaced by Herve Renard who has distinguished himself as a top professional and also expressed his desire to coach the Black stars when we need him.
Herve has won two AFCONS with two average teams Zambia in 2013 and Ivory Coast in 2015.
CK has played 9 matches, won 4 lost 3, and drawn 2
