Organizers of the Hearts of Oak vs Asante Kotoko clash in the UK have confirmed that the English Football Association will appoint referees and other match officials to take charge of the game.

Ghana’s two biggest clubs will face off in this historic match to commemorate this year’s  Independence Day celebration.

The game is scheduled to kick off at the Barnet Stadium in London on 7 March, 2020. The initiative is a brainchild of Proball Int Limited

Addressing concerns raised about who gets to officiate the game, Justin Addoon the part of the organizers said the referee will be appointed by the English FA.

“Per the regulations of association football, the country that hosts a game sanctions it and appoints an official for the game. So the English FA will appoint a referee for the game,” he noted.
